Our Approach

Discover artisans of the languishing arts/handcrafts and facilitate revival of the art. We target underexposed artists from around the country with a focus on women and artists from rural regions. Kasvi recognizes the need for these under-represented art forms to get better exposure and access to opportunities that can help improve their product design, marketability and profiteering.

Our Story

Kasvi recognizes the need for these under-represented art forms to get better exposure and accessibility to opportunities that can help improve their product design, marketability and profiteering. Through tailored training modules, curated workshops and desired patronage, our foundation aims to foster artistic skills among the artisan community by creating a platform that will not only facilitate capacity building for income generation but also instill the entrepreneurial spirit that can ensure revival and sustenance for the art forms and urge next generation to inherit the arts.

Kasvi upskills to develop products/artifacts/commodities in order to meet the industry demands without compromising originality of the arts/handcrafts form.

Due to lack of access to resources and opportunities, a large number of artisans have been under represented and left behind. Additionally, a recent report released by the OECD* shows that income inequality has doubled over the past 20 years in India. Our foundation aims to revive arts /handcrafts that have been lost through time for one reason or another. In particular, our intent is to raise the income of artists and help bridge the gap of income inequality, especially among women.

While our immediate focus is to provide resources by creating opportunity to develop products/connect to market for the less represented artists, especially women artists, we will continue to strengthen our efforts to make a lasting change in the world of arts and handicrafts in the long run.

Our long term goal is to bring in the expertise of organizations and like minded individuals who are committed to help artisans in remote regions.

As part of our strategy to fulfill this mission, we provide education, training, and propaganda to the masses either by ourselves or through entities who share a similar vision and passion for the lost arts.
